My work is an invitation to explore both light and dark spaces, and the ways in which we inhabit them
Through narratives drawn from riddles, dream imagery and mythic archetypes, I create physical spaces and stories that mirror aspects of our shared world. Recurring themes include internal and external landscapes, and the state of being open to resonant experience. With an emphasis on layering, my aim is to evoke historic alchemical processes in which raw materials, both literal and metaphoric, are transformed into something different. My work tells an ongoing story of presence and absence, a story with no beginning and no end. Individual works encompass realms of mixed media painting, bookmaking, sculpture and installation.
